With a variety of packages ranging from 1 to 3 hours, Claire can arrange everything from invites to party games, snacks, and drinks. All you have to do is turn up! Bonnie Bakes Edinburgh has experience delivering fun and engaging children’s birthday parties for ages 5-14.

These activities allow residents to maintain and develop fine motor skills and dexterity while sharing memories of their own experiences, and, of course, enjoying the satisfaction of eating their treats.

Meet the Owner
My name is Claire Wightman and I am the proud owner of Bonnie Bakes Edinburgh. After over 20 years of being a primary school teacher I decided to create some changes in my life and soon after Bonnie Bakes Edinburgh came to fruition.
Children's Birthday Parties
As a parent of three children and a passionate organizer of parties, it was only a matter of time before Bonnie Bakes began hosting baking parties. I specialize in children party catering and can assist with everything from selecting a theme and snacks to creating a music playlist and planning party games. Additionally, I handle the baking and decorating component, including fun cupcake decorating activities that kids love. This unique approach to childrens birthday parties has received fantastic feedback from both children and parents, making it a memorable experience for families. We also offer family baking workshops to further enhance the fun!
Supplying local businesses
It is a thrill to see my treats and bakes being displayed for and enjoyed by the public. I have always loved going out for coffee and cake, especially during children’s birthday parties where I can provide delightful options. I personally cherish that 'what shall I choose?' moment. Hearing feedback from customers at local cafes, who have been enjoying the goods I supplied, is incredibly rewarding. Additionally, I love hosting family baking workshops and offering cupcake decorating sessions to bring everyone together.

I work closely with activities coordinators to ensure all residents participate, regardless of their capabilities. The recipes I select for our family baking workshops include tasks like chopping, peeling, mixing, decorating, and measuring ingredients, similar to those enjoyed at children’s birthday parties, including cupcake decorating.

The residents of the care homes I attend look forward to the baking sessions as part of their routine.
