Birthday Parties
Make planning your child's birthday party a 'piece of cake' . Let Claire take the lead in planning the most memorable party ever. These can be hosted at your house, hired space or at Claire's home. There are a variety of packages to choose from ranging from 1 hour to 3 hours. Claire can arrange everything from invites, party games to snacks and drinks. All you have to do is turn up! Bonnie Bakes Edinburgh has experience delivering parties for children aged 5-14.
Care Home Baking Classes
Bonnie Bakes is also delighted to spend time each week connecting with people in the community and offering baking classes in care homes. These activities allow residents to maintain and develop fine motor skills and dexterity as well as spending time sharing memories of their own experiences. Finally, of course they get the satisfaction of eating their treats.

Baking for Physical Health
When planning the care home sessions I include as many physical aspects as I can to allow the residents opportunites to improve and maintain strength, improve stamina,co-oridnation and fine motor skills. I liaise closely with activities co-ordinators in order to include all residents no matter their capabilities. The recipes I choose include chopping ,peeling, mixing, decorating and measuring ingredients.
Baking for fun
The residents of the care homes I attend enjoy look forward to the baking sessions as part of their routine. It gives them a great opportunity to have a shared experience whilst chatting and socialising. Baking traditional recipes and asking them what they would like to bake allows us to talk about their memories and experiences.

Group/Family Sessions
Do you find baking stressful and messy?
Let Claire take the load from you. Baking with Claire is fun and relaxed. I will give you step by step guidance and reassurance to help you follow a recipe and develop basic skills to make a range of treats. Happy to cater to your needs if you want a calm time with friends or singalong with background music as we bake. You'll get to take away recipes, delicious treats, additional confidence and knowledge but leave the mess behind!!
Knowledge and Skills
I've been baking since I was a little girl and have gradually built up a bank of recipes I enjoy making. Since becoming a Mum myself in 2011 I began baking more frequently when visitors were coming or to have quality time with my boys. Having been a primary teacher (and tutor) for over 20 years I have a vast range of skills which I am be able to transfer into my baking sessions with children eg breaking down instructions, patience, alongside experience with a variety of age groups and children with varying needs. I also hope to build up confidence in parents to show them that it's not too scary at all!
